    Hello all,

I was just hoping that someone could help explain and clear up the differences between the Zoom settings for the Google TV.

I am using the Sony 40" Google TV and it has multiple setting for zooming the picture. I am using cable television going directly into the TV (no cable box) and just want to get the tv set up as well as I can.

So - does anyone have any insight into the different Zoom settings? Can anyone help explain the differences in them?

    Thanks :)

Yeah so I have the 32 inch. I'm not at my apt right now but if I remember, there's normal, wide, wide zoom, and auto. For the non widescreen channels (4:3), wide zoom seems to be the best for filling the screen while keeping the ratio of the channel. For widescreen channels, you don't need zoom of course. Our tv has in settings an option to automatically zoom 4:3 channels to whichever zoom we want, which I have set to wide zoom.
