No real big changes noted!
Any small changes? I have been really happy with the YouTube app since it was updated some time ago and use it a lot and would like to know if I got the update today, no message received unless I deleted it without reading it. Mine indicates Ver. 1.3.6.
The current version is 1.3.7 which means you are yet to receive the update. It seems there is no big difference between the previous version and the update.
Tried to rent a you tube movie tonight and it looks like the update put a stop to the work around.
Did you try to unistall the update? Hold down the enter button on the YouTube app in All Apps to see the option, not sure if that works since I have never used it but when checking to see if my YouTube app was updated, I saw that option.
I have never used the YouTube paid rentals but watch a lot of free movies using YouTube, here is a list in case you don't have those bookmarked, each category expands out see the arrows to the right, must be a few hundred total.
Movies - Free Movies - YouTube
Thanks ChrisG8, the rollback option took the You Tube App back to the original version which was pre rental section so this is not a fix.
Well that's not a very useful tool, you are almost always only going to want to uninstall the latest update causing the issue.
Performed a factory reset and then noticed the movie rental actually didn't take last night so I re-rented and it now plays. Google may have actually enabled rentals within the you tube app with this update so the hack my no longer be needed? As I think the Movies and TV sideloaded App is no longer on my revue and the rentals are still working. Hmmm, puzzled now!
