Thinking this should be posted here. Sony wireless connects fine, but then drops the connection or times out shortly after forcing the user to re-connect again.

Thinking this is a driver or firmware issue, but hearing someone else has the same issue, wondering if this is more wide spread of an issue and more importantly, is there a fix for it?

This is exactly where this should be posted, hopefully it will catch the eyes of those this section was intended for.

Other major issues of this sort belong in this section too.

What good is Google TV if it doesn't stay connected to the internet.

I would be interested in a wireshark log of this, to see exactly what's happening. Still, I think the wifi chipset in the Sony needs an update.

I returned my original unit and got another from the Sony store (Original was from Best Buy). The new unit has not dropped my wifi once. I've been testing everything and so far it's all working. I think there might be defective units out there.

*SOLVED* You have defective hardware. Don't waste your time with 4 levels of tech support like we did. They have no clue how to fix the problem. There is a bad batch of Sony boxes floating around with a defective wireless modules. Exchange the unit to the store and make sure you get a different batch #. It's a white label on the box. The problem has completely gone away with a new box from a different batch.
