I am trying to get a natural image with good detail on stuff like pores, hair etc and that color pop...basically the best image that my TV can handle.

On my Ps4, both games and blu ray films can look pixlated, grainy etc which is strange because HD channels look a lot better with a lot of detail such as winkles,

I am also confused by a lot of the settings such as resolution, I know Sharpness is Edge enhancement but what is resolution? I have heard that sharpness set to min is better. I know you are supposed to set films to Cinema pro/home but what about TV?

Also I don't know if my Freeview is 720 or 1020p since it is built into my XE930.

There are hundreds of different TVs out there, and it's impossible to cover every single setting you may come across, but this should give you a good idea of how to tweak your TV for close-to-optimal picture quality, without having to hire a calibrator or go through a time-consuming process yourself.
