The Vizio Co-Star can now play AVI files with ease via PlayPoint .....!

In the above photos is a MKV and AVI file being played via PlayPoint with audio on the Vizio Co-Star via the new V3.5.0 firmware update ....

Using the old firmware, I could not play MKV files ... Now I am using the profile in the top photo via Serviio server ... Now I can play the same MKV/AVI files via Plex also, before I could not do that, so all is good now, sweet ....(lol)

Just to let everybody know, since I have installed the new "Firmware/Buildware", call it what you want too, but the Vizio Co-Star is on "Steroids", the negative critics cannot say anything now about the Co-Star ....

This coming Christmas Vizio Co-Star sales will now sky rocket, merry Christmas to everybody over at Vizio Corp, it was kinda bumpy at the start ...!(lol) Yeah...!(lol)

    * YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE ABOVE PROFILE ....!

how about streaming content via play point from PS3 Media Server? Is the Audio working yet? That's my biggest gripe.

[IMG] Tips and Tricks to make your Co-Star Experience Better

    1. Make sure your firmware is up to date (ver. 3.5 released 12/12/12)
    2. TNT OT on nba.com streams some nice quality basketball games so search for that.
    3. Download amo Navi-X from the Play Store. It's worth the little 2-3 bucks you pay. Almost unlimited amount of content.
    4. Google search "Aptoide" in your Co Stars browser and download it, its an app market that let's you install what you want. (Make sure app is compatible)
    5. You can go to 4shared.com, sign up if you haven't already and download apks straight from your browser.
    6. The Co Star is compatible with the Playstation 3 so you can HDMI out it and do PIP (picture in picture) with it, *Google search, check emails or do whatever you want to do while gaming lol* Settings>Video and Audio Devices>Blu-Ray Player. Type the brand "Sony" and when they ask you for a model number type in PS3. They will ask another question just say yes and viola, your PS3 and Co-Star are now a tandem! *You still have to use the PS3 controller to navigate around but the Co Star does control its Blu-Ray basic functions.
If you find a website that you like that has streaming content or whatever, go to your options in the Chrome browser and save it to your homepage. It turns the link into an app sorta.

    Hope this helps somebody!

The new Serviio Version 1.1 is now available here Download ....

*You can get the NEW already packaged Vizio Co-Star Serviio version 1.1 2012/2013 profile here SerVVVioo Plus For The Vizio Co-Star-2012-2013.zip ....

The new Serviio version 1.1 2012/2013 Vizio Co-Star Profile package (Config.xml) will enable your Vizio Co-Star to play just about all the major video formats (Mkv, Avi ...ect), via the built in media player on the Co-Star (PlayPoint) with Mp3 stereo audio .... The new recent 3.5.0 firmware/buildware update did not give the Co-Star DTS ...!

Plex will auto transcode most video formats it cannot handle ...! The Serviio Co-Star 2012/2013 profile may also work with the GTVBox ...

1.\ Download the above new 2012/2013 Vizio Co-Star Serviio version 1.1 profile to your PC/Laptop, copy the file to >Program Files> Serviio> config> and just overwrite the config Profile.xml file that's already there and restart your PC/Laptop ...

Once your PC/Latop is back up, open the Serviio server console, set up your
Vizio Co-star profile via the drop menu on the line that says "Local Player or use the IP address of your Vizio Co-Star", the green dot should be there too (See Above Photos) ...

    2.\ You can copy the
Vizio Costar Profiles below and make you own Serviio Co Star profiles ....
