    Hey guys,

I just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas about this. I just got the Vizio Co-star to use with my Comcast Motorola DCX3400 and no video or audio appears at all. I've tried:

    - Unplugging all power to DVR, Vizio Co-star, Vizio TV
    - Replacing HDMI cables
    - Changing all meu options on the DVR
    - Performed a factory reset on all devices
    - Calling Comcast

Nothing works for me. Any ideas guys?

    Thanks!

Write down your "Settings" before making any changes ...!

With your Comcast remote PRESS the following buttons at the very top of the remote that say "Cable" >"Power">"Setup"> and the Red "Menu" Button on the right side of the remote .....! Now, scroll down to "HDMI Settings", select AUDIO OUT PUT MODE and change from AUTO to "PASS THROUGH" ... Your audio should now work with your Vizio Co-Star ... You should see your video Settings also .... Your TV screen will turn dark, but you cable box is still on, the "Menu" screen will appear ...

    Hey Wisdom,

Thanks! The audio post may help with audio however video still does not. Any ideas how to correct video? I've tried the native setting however it didn't resolve anything.

    Just out of curiosity,

Did you press [live TV] button on the remote? Is this is your first GTV?

I don't know how to help, but my Co-Star works wonderfully with my DCX3400.

First, do you have the latest update? Check System Info, you should have U2.3.1, this was just released last night. If so...

When you went through setup, did you tell the system which STB box and provider you are using? Did it show a signal then and allow channel change?

For DCX3400 should I select it as a DVR or Cable Box?

    I use it for both.

I've tried LiveTV and it still doesn't work and have the latest update, it might just be a bad Co-Star. :(

Okay, before I shell over $100 bucks, I wanted to know if this box can access recorded content on my Comcast DVR. I also wanted to know how well does it group whats on live TV. I have 500+ channels and need a good way to see whats on. So far this looks like it could do the trick, but I need to know about the DVR. If it can access it, how do you go about doing it? Lastly, do you guys recommend this or should I wait for something else to come out?

if you are unsure I post the model of the DVR and see if others have had good or bad results. you can also call Visio customer service and ask them directly. they should have a ongoing list or any compatibility problems.
