Verizon Is Reported to Be Planning a Streaming Service - NYTimes.com (click for full article)

"On Tuesday, Reuters reported that Verizon planned to introduce a service that would let customers stream television shows and movies over the Web. The service could be introduced as early as next year, according to the report, and would offer a limited lineup of movies and television shows.

The service - intended to compete with services like Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu Plus - would be aimed at customers outside of Verizon's five million FiOS telephone, Internet and television subscribers, Reuters said."
