Use Revue as a DVR?

    Does anybody thinks it's possible?? Also what would be the advantages of rooting the revue, if its possible...

    I know its a newb question but i searched the forum and found no clear answers

    Not really. Due to issues HDCP licensing, Google is not allowed to give access to the HDMI stream. So, any DVR features will need to be addressed outside of the Google TV OS and most likely be a part of value addition from a manufacturer.

    Very slim since they have the bootloader locked down very well. Howard Harte placed a bounty for $1,000 to the first person that produces a fully software-based hack of Google TV. However, only Zenoflex and his team from GTVHacker were able to do it so far using a hardware hack which they were awarded half of the prize. Google has since long patched those holes and now the only way to duplicate the hardware hack is with a virgin Revue.
