streaming video stops

    Hey guys,
    Just recently i've been having issues streaming to my Google TV.
    I stream straight from an external hard drive through my laptop tirelessly.
    I first used mezzmo until it expired, wich worked great, then used windows media player and now serviio.
    But now i've been having issues where video playback on the TV just STOPS.
    I pull up the video information and see that it's still counting the time of the movie as if it was still playing.
    I have to return to the video's page on media player and replay it.
    Fortunately it brings me back to the place i left off but still... it gets annoying watching a movie.
    If i don't the video will stay paused forever.

    It does it every 10-15 minutes.
    I even upgraded and got myself a wireless N Router thinking it was that.
    But no luck.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This happens on various servers?

    Please list your hardware (sig would be best) and what formats your attempting to stream.

    i'm not sure what you mean by sig (other than forum signature?) but hardware wise i'm running an alienware m17x laptop brand new windows 7, netgear wireless N router, USB connected My book Essential external drive and my 40inch sony google TV. It's all relatively brand new this issue has just recently started about two months or so.
    I've tested everything from
    I've been mostley playing with .avi but i've tested several formats and it's all the same.
    I have yet to test music streaming though.

    I'm starting to beleive that it's not a streaming issue as i've let it run when the video freezes. It seems the player still runs just not the actual picture.

    couple things...try a wired connection. try with your wireless setup forcing your AP to a specific channel, not auto. You could also be having a memory issue on your laptop within the application.

    Well it ended up being my modem, had it swapped out by the cable company and now it works fine. Sorry for wasting your time guys, I never would have thought.
