Using Windows Media Player 12, I have successfully created a DLNA wifi link from my Windows 7 premium PC to my Sony NSX-32GT1. The TV connects to the local network and Applications/MediaPlayer/Videos/AllVideos displays the icons for the mpeg-2 files on the computer. They are recorded hour-long news programs from broadcasts (antenna). Playing of the files is very inconsistent. Most of the time there is a blank screen followed later by the message "Activity Player (in application media player" is not responding. Force close Wait Report". But sometimes they play perfectly. Is there a way to make this work all of the time? Sony support says streaming will not work via wifi, but this is obviously not true.

The glitchy part of the streaming is most likely the format compatibility. I would recommend using Format Factory to convert the files into the MP4 file containers with H.264 stream and AAC audio files.
