Anyone else receive the new Sony update yet that includes the Vudu app?
I don't even see it yet on Sony's site here Sony eSupport - NSZ-GS7 - Support but I just turned on the tv this morning and my NSZGS7 had received an update and told me it now includes Vudu. Looked in the apps and there it was. Supposedly the media player was updated too but I never use it so I have no idea what the changes are.
The Vudu app says it supports 1080p and 7.1DD plus. It also says you get 10 free movies if you sign up for the service.

    Hi,
have you tried to stream a title in surround sound (5.1 DD+, 7.1DD+, 5.1DD, 5.1PCM) from GS7 new Vudu native App? (with no Side Loading Required ;) )

Btw, you don't have to have a Vudu account to test this...
See this link (how to test Vudu app)

Yes I tried the 2 minute preview for Django and it was in 1080P HDX and 5.1 DD Plus (my AVR only does 5.1)

It doesn't let you select the 10 free movies you want. It gives you these and only in SD...

Of course, Wal-Mart can't give away 10 free HD movies for something that costs nothing. I have been using Vudu for quite a while, be sure to check the daily 99 cent rental, it is almost always available in HDX. The quality is usually excellent and almost always the best of any of the streaming services.

Actually Wal Mart probably could give away 10 free HD movies with their fortune but I don't blame them for not doing it. Vudu does have excellent quality, I believe XBOX movies (whatever they call it now) has quality on par with them however.
