I assume you are trying to run Chrome and it won't load. Hard to guess without knowing much more but if you can reset and get to apps, run Smart RAM Booster, boost RAM, close apps, clear cache and see if you can get it running. I had this issue with a Logitech Revue recently and quickly got it running by those steps.

No can't get beyond the first part of the stb trying to boot up Get as far as the Sony sign then hangs at the Blue loading circle

    Try rebooting your router.

If that doesn't work is there any way you can connect directly to a modem and test it that way as a troubleshooting measure?

I am sure there is a way to reset to default settings but I don't have that specific box, it is easy to do on the ones I do own. Did you try to sideload a non Google TV app or something similar, not an intended use of the box? The manual should show the simple reset to default procedure, with the Logitech Revue, it is holding a button on the back of the box but I don't recall doing it with my Sony NSZ-GT1 but know it can be done with that box as well.

Had the same problem hope i remember how i fixed it.

Disconnect the power cord. Turn the unit upside down press and hold the connect button in while plugging the power cord back in. It should bring you to the service menu. Just select reset, if that doesn't work when it reboots select the next option to factory reset and unpair the remote.

    Hope this helps.

My unit crashed tonight and wouldn't boot beyond the spinning/then frozen blue circle. Had to do a factory reset as well. I had just updated Open Launcher from 1.2 to 1.3. Don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

Funny, mine crashed yesterday also. Also have open launcher. Ended up pulling power, reset network, waited awhile before plugging power back in.

I was using subsonic in chrome when it crashed. (Nevermind:I wish the subsonic app worked on this. Great on the revue. was able to sideload subsonic)

When I had this problem I didn't have to do the factory reset. Just had to do a reset from the service menu.

    Thanks Mardukeme.
I had the blue ring of death problem aswell. In my case I have a feeling the pairing of my remote dropped off and when booting caused the box to keep trying to pair. Maybe. Regardless, I went through the factory reset process which required me to insert a generic keyboard (not an Apple one, didn't respond) to gain control of the menu. Once I selected option 2 then option 1 from the service menu it ran through the setup procedure without a problem. Now have the remote controlling STB and TV. All good again.
