Just got mine today, turned on TV at 6 AM PST and there it was asking for an install. 46" Sony TV as well.

I got the update early (AM) today. Looks good. BUT... Now the sound doesn't work for any source when I turned the tv back on this morning. Anyone else see this issue? Could be an unrelated failure or the OS update I'm not sure....

If any source includes Google TV apps or the internal tuner, try checking mute or the volume controls. Otherwise, if its for one of the external sources try replugging your connections to re-initiate the HDCP handshake.

Edit: And, check that pesky AMP button on the remote if its toggled appropriately to your setup.

Thanks, good ideas but I've tried all the easy fixes. Unfortunately I'm not getting sound from ANY source out the internal TV speakers now. I've tried power cycle (full unplugged), all HDMI, RF TV, internal apps (like netflix), setup options, remote buttons (like the AMP). Nothing, not one squeak. Could be an unrelated failure but the coincidence of the OS update is compelling. I'm currently getting sound from my cable box direct to the AV receiver, works for now... I'll wait and see if more folks are affected or it's just me. I kinda hope its the software, that would be an easy fix....

Try the 3 finger salute: "ctl" "alt" "delete/backspace". Check your sound settings in sound menu and worst comes to worst do a factory reset under privacy and safety.

Interesting... Tried the "ctl alt delete" twice, no change on the first try but the sound came back after the second reboot. Thanks for suggestion...

Hopefully it was a single event, I guess we'll see.

Okay so I finally got mine when I checked this afternoon :)
Guess I'll find out soon enough if all my anticipation was worth it, but it looks good so far. Haven't noticed any increase or decrease in lag while playing on my PS3.
