In the past couple of weeks when watching video with Chrome I had a number of freezes (with icons in the middle of black screens) with the following message in a yellow box "Shockwave Flash plug-in is blocked" asking to select between "Refresh or Close". It seems to be happening now more often.

When I chose Close nothing happens (probably it only means closing the message box!) and when I chose Refresh it kind of restarts the video streaming but often comes back minutes later with the same message...and sometimes the message doesn't come back before the end of the program... it's king of casino feeling!!

Is there a fix or a workaround for that as it is quite annoying.

PS- A search with "shockwave" in the GS7 forum didn't give the information I am looking for.

What sites give the message Shockwave Flash Blocked? I have never noticed that wording but I have seen a Shockwave Flash crash message, always caused by cluttered RAM or cache is my belief and I use Smart RAM Booster to prevent that, I very rarely see it.

My setup is with (Canadian) French and when I translate word for word the French message it gives "Shockwave Flash plug-in is blocked"... the English message may very well be "crash" instead of the more diplomatic "blocked" !!!

What is Smart RAM Booster, is it an app, an Android setting, a device?

    It's been 48 hours since I tried Revue5's tips, including a reboot (ctrl-shift-bksp).

I used to have a couple of Shockwave Flash crash/blocked messages daily prior to trying Revue5's tip but only had one in the last 48 hours. When it happened I did "Goto Chrome >press [Menu] ≣ button >Settings >Advancesettings >select "under the Hood ">"Adobe FlashStorage">"delete all sites"." there was only one entry in the list: "www.cbc.ca 3K unlimited". (note: the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is to Canada what BBC is to UK). I deleted it and the video streaming resumed normally.

I am surprised that only one small (3K) site in the list caused Shockwave to crash. What is the explanation.

Well it's also possible that the reboot has improved your Flash stability. If you would of ONLY cleared the Flash cookies (without rebooting) and noticed significant improvement - then we could logically assume that the improvement was caused by clearing the Flash cookies.

    These are Revue5's tips:

Tip: Avoid & reduce Error “shockwave Flash Crash!”,
    • Delete “all sites” from "Adobe Flash Storage Settings" & Increasing Settings” to “unlimited”,
    1. Go to Chrome >press [Menu] ≣ button >Settings >Advance settings >select “under the Hood “>"Adobe Flash Storage">“delete all sites”.
    2. Increasing “Chrome’s Global Storage Settings” to “unlimited”
    3. Reboot Sony-box.
    4. Go back to Adobe Flash Storage Settings and check if “unlimited” was saved, if not reset it again & Reboot Sony-box.
Notes: repeat this process as needed or when five-sites or more are stored-in "Adobe Flash Storage".• Avoid running two ‘Flash-Apps’ at the same time.• Clear Saved browsing data – Go to Chrome > Options > Settings > Clear Saved browsing data.• Force stop/Clear data all unneeded Apps (& uninstall) - go to Settings > Application > Running services > ALL > scroll down the list - select unneeded Apps - – press [Ok] > “Force stop” > “Clear data” > (“uninstall”) – also check used/free RAM at the bottom - reboot Sony-box.• Avoid running streaming Apps in the background (ex. Netflix) at the same time a ‘flash-Webpage’ is running.• Avoid on-screen double click, while running a flash video. If the issue persists,• Try to “Reset” Sony-box (hardware “reset”, not a factory reset) – See this link.

What I did 2 days ago is

If the problem still persists I will look into implementing the other tips. Does that make sense or am I misunderstanding or missing something?
