The article mentions Google TV will be included in the android Ice Cream Sandwich update - and it could come as early as October. Rumor Suggests Ice Cream Sandwich Could Come Sooner Rather Than Later - HotHardware
I'm gonna start a rumor that Charlize Theron and Kate Beckinsale are coming over to my place for a threesome. I'm sure if most of you believe in it, it will eventually come true. The idea that Google TV is gonna skip over 3.0 and its variants right into 4.0 is pretty absurd. Especially, since the SDK for Android 3.2 was just recently given out to developers. Besides, haven't we all realize when Google announces a release for something within a certain period, its usually the end of that period when it becomes available not the beginning. Just sayin'
Yep, this line is more believable , "According to them, the OS is still in its very early stages and not 100% functional, so we shouldn't expect it to be released anytime soon."
I remember during the Google Merge and Acquisition of Motorola Mobility... So, I don't doubt that they're gearing up to compete with the Apple iPhone 5 as they did with the Nexus S vs iPhone 4 last year, or the Nexus One vs iPhone 3GS the year before that. However Google doesn't have a track record of beating Apple to the punch. The Nexus S was released December 14th, 2010, six months after iPhone 4 on June 24, 2010, while the Nexus One was released January 5th 2010 as opposed to the 3GS on June 8, 2009. October seems a little bit optimistic, especially with RootWiki's leaked ICS report, "These come from a Nexus S running a build of Ice Cream Sandwich, this is a very reliable source and I guarantee the authenticity. as of now, we know ICS is still very early in the works and not 100% functional, so don't expect to see it coming out next month or anytime soon." Following the trends which other OEMs have officially adopted to new releases of Android, I don't expect Ice Cream Sandwich to be available for Google TV until at least a couple months has been released.
Just sayin' eferz, but you bring a lot to this forum. If you're not on one of these tech companies' executive teams, you ought to be!
Hey, as long as it's semi-soft, I'll still eat it up! I'm not too concerned about any 'upmanship' with Apple anymore, it's old now.
