Rent a Movie from GTV

    Hi,

    If you try to rent a movie from Movies, it showing available from Amazon. But its not showing option as "Google Play Store"
    Did you guys checked this?
    Is there any setting to enable option to buy or rent movie from "Google Play Store"?
    Please let me know, if you know about it.

    Google doesn't currently support movie rentals from Google Play with Google TV. I believe it has to do with DRM (digital rights management) and licensing issues.

    However the free movie rentals from YouTube will work with GTV - (using the Chrome browser).

    Some have reported that if you change the GTV user agent to "generic" - that paid YouTube rentals will work (with the Chrome browser). However others have reported that they purchased a rental on YouTube - but then the movie didn't play. So I can't really advise that - until Google makes it official.

    Here is a thread that mentioned a rumor that GTV will be able to use paid movie rentals on YouTube soon:
