:cool:Hi I have my setup working perfectly now: DVR Cable box => Revue => TV, I want to be able to remotely connect to my GTV and control my DVR. Is there a remote desktop app that i can use to control my GTV as its working perfectly with my Cable TV DVR and no im not using Dish. Also I dont want to use sling box as then i need to get slingbox to control my GTV or my DVR but thats a lot of work.

Any ideas? how about the chrome remote desktop application? can we trigger the GTV remote onscreen as a virtual remote over the internet? Android 3.1 will that solve this issue?

    Thanks if any ideas.

The only thing available are the Android and iOS apps for the Tablets and Phones. There's no software for desktop computers to facilitate direct commands to your Google TV device.

I wonder if he means log into his GTV from work or away from the house? It did make me wonder if you could run the GTV with a laptop I googled that and looks like you can use Andriod SDK software on the pc to and run the harmony app. I am totally new with Andriod so I do not know this will work but it sounds like it might.

I do that with my Slingbox but he specifically didn't want anything to do with it due to its complexity.

I couldn't even run the Harmony app on the Sony Internet TV, I doubt it will work for anything else other than ARM based tablet or phone.

I looked into a little more and its really complex you have to install SDK then pick a platform then hack it to add market so I will just grab my iphone or the Logitech keyboard.

Yes we need a desktop / web / IOS / Android app to login to GTV and remotely control it, like sling box. The ability to Login away from house or away from the room in the house where the set is? Sounds like I need to have HDFury 3 > Slingbox added to do this. We need a remote desktop application for it.

Is the Slingbox app for GTV available? I signed up for the beta, but no response.

My Google TV setup: Thompson DCI804SH HD Cable DVR > Logitech Revue > Baumann Meyer 46 inch LED TV 46C100

Yup, that's what I'm currently using.

Unfortunately, I'm under NDA for that and the best I could have done was point you to the public signup bage.

Ahh, okay. I didn't realized that they set a threshold for that.

Interesting. Links and signature are coveted by ten posts.

I fail to see the logic behind the ten posts required for a sig.

It makes the spammers detour around too much, thus, less spam.

Sounds cool. Not exactly a remote desktop client though, its sounds more like an Android emulator for Windows 7 PCs or Tablets.
