I got a Logitech Revue and was surprised that "Gallery" is basically just a link to open Picassa.
"Gallery" doesn't manage pictures, audio, video, or anything else.
    There's also no Google-branded audio/video player.
Instead, I'm dependent on Logitech Media Player, which lacks some basic features.

If nothing else, on a multimedia device, I should be able to watch one video while browsing for others.
The idea is that the current video will shrink down to a thumbnail and keep playing while I browse for other videos using the rest of the display.

The Dual-View currently only work for content being sent from your STB.

APPs in general right now are very limited. I expect many things to change when the APP Market is released next year. Be thankful for the Logitech Media Player, the Sony products don't have one at all from what I'm hearing.

My Sony 40" GTV has a Media Player.....it is one of the built in apps. I use this to view stuff on my Evo 4G and USB drives :)

I stand corrected, not sure why others have complained that the Sony platforms were missing one, might have been a noobie not knowing where to look.

I would love to have a media player that will open .iso files. I would hate to convert all 700gb again.

vlc should be on android within a few weeks:
VLC for Android Coming Soon : Video «

vlc is the end-all be-all swiss army knife of media players.
vlc can open .iso files and keep menus intact.
vlc can also open network streams.

so once we get vlc on google tv, there won't be a need for any other media player.
