My TV uses a CableCard so it appears I can't run my TV channels through my Visio Co-Star. I don't care because I still have CableTV through the inputs selection. Can't I just run my Cat5 into the Vizio and then out to my TV to bring my Internet to my Pioneer Plazma TV? Or do I need to yank out my CableCard and install a CableTv Receiver??

You don't need a TV source to use Google TV, you can use your TV tuner for cable and use Google TV for internet TV. Switch to whatever HDMI input you have Google TV connected to when you want Google TV which needs to be set up without a TV source and without an STB if you don't want to connect anything to the Google TV HDMI input. You might ultimately decide to connect an HTPC or some other non traditional source to the Google TV input or you might not, worry about that later.
