I cannot get the NSZ-GT1 with the latest firmware to recognize an external USB hard drive formatted with NTFS, 256MB. Is NTFS and/or this drive size supported? If not, what are the supported formats, and the best format to use to be able to access the drive on Windows 7 as well?

NTFS is not supported on the Sony Google TV. I use Fat32Formatter to quickly format drives to be compatible with Google TV (and most other devices as well).

    eferz: Thanks for your reply.
Does the media player support DVD rips or they need to be converted to some other format?

I believe the Sony NSZ-GT1 Blu-Ray Player has the value addition software to support the DVD/Blu-Ray even when ripped. But, if you can be so kind to test that for me and confirm or deny?

For the other Google TV products like the Logitech Revue or the Sony NSX-24GT1, I would either have to rename the .VOB files to .MPG or just use a multimedia converter to play them.

I will test and report back. Is this "value addition software" something built in the firmware, or a package that I need to install?
