I have my blu ray connected to my Denon AVR-5800 receiver via an optical cable, but I cannot get DD5.1, just dolby surround. I get DD with everything else, all TV channels, etc, but not with the NSZ-GT1. I have tried all types of settings, and then even reset to factory defaults but still no DD.

I am missing something obvious, but could anyone tell me what it might be? Thanks.

My amplifier does not support "5.1 DTS Master Audio" it does support "5.1 Dolby Digital" There is a difference.
I note on the back of the disk carton that English is in Master Audio, and Spanish and French in Dolby 5.1
My Goggle Blu-Ray TV does in deed support both 5.1 formats. Just I can't play the Master Audio. Switching the audio (Fn + 2) key indicated
the functioning 5.1 in Spanish and French. All this info, per the kind and patient of a Sony Tech Last night.

Have you tried setting the sound settings to Optical Output as the priority?
