So I have been using the NSZ-GS7 for a couple of weeks now and I have to say I am fairly impressed with the device. Despite the occasional hard reset, the internet player appears to be reliable for the most part. I have one major gripe. The controller works great with my cable box except for the fact that the back button actually just closes the DVR menu. It's quite annoying especially when trying to navigate between on demand menus. Anyone else having the same problem?

Try using the "Tab" key or "ESC" key.

Haven't tried the tab key, but the escape key exits the menu also. I'll give the tab key a try.

Yes controlling the DVR with the Sony remote. Everything works except the ability to go backwards in menus.

In my case with the GS7 I am able to use the "Tab" key to go back. It also can be used to jump between two channels.

BTW what service provider and cable box are you using?

Comcast is the provider and the dvr is a brand new motorola black box with blue led lights not sure about the model.
