    Hi all,

One of the apps that came pre-installed with my Sony Google TV was the NBA Game Time app. Checking this app out, it still comes up as NBA Game Time 2010-11, and the only updates that it seems to be getting are video highlights from the preseason games that have been taking place over the past few days. The calendar shows no scheduled games and the standings still display those of last season. Does anybody know if an update will be released for this app? Interestingly enough, the link to this app on nba.com redirects visitors to the nba.com home page.

    Im wondering the same thing.

    -----------

It's not in the market anymore, so I'm guessing a update is due soon.

I am showing an update is available, but when I select update, it then states its incompatible.

I find the situation ironic. Although, I can't figure out which part is funnier. On the one hand, there's an update yet I can't install it. On the other, the included update requires GPS permissions for a Google TV app. I would recommend that you report this conflict to the developer if this app is important to you.

Yep, same problem here. It's pretty comical, actually.

Do you understand the situation? The developer is pushing an update which requires GPS access for an application dedicated for Google TV. However, no Google TV device supports GPS in any way, shape, or form. This is described in the Feature Support in Google TV documentation for developers.

I understood what you were laughing about.

One of the things I was REALLY looking forward to was PIP with the NBA app. Now that it doesn't work, it isn't too funny for me.

I wonder how many of those in this thread care about this issue and has reported it to the developer, turnernbadigital@gmail.com.

Just like google TV itself...big fail... It would be nice if they would hire guys to review/approve these apps as many are littered with bugs. BTW NBA TV is free until 1/8/12. I wonder if NBA games can be watched free via the app during that time as my cable provider does not have the channel.

League Pass has more commercials than free cable.

FYI, You can now "Install" the update from the details page, but the "Update" button under My Apps is still broken.
