I bought a 55G2 for use in a work environment. Basically, we export a PowerPoint presentation to an MP4 file then we upload that file to a local web server and use the built in Chrome browser to play that file using the HTML5 <video> tag. It worked great for a month or so, then Google recently (sometime in late October / early November) pushed out a Google TV update and now I can't get our TV to play these files. I have also tried to play them locally on the TV by putting the files on a USB thumb drive and then try to play them using the built-in media player (as well as 3 or 4 other players download from the Google Play store). When I attempt to play them via the browser, it simply fails with no error message, but when I attempt to play them locally, I get a message that says the media files are not supported? I have tried encoding these files in 20+ different ways, using a variety of encoding utilities (Handbrake, iFFmpeg, QuickTime, etc). I was originally using a built-in preset in QuickTime for AppleTV @ 720P that was working just fine. All of the different files are some variation of an MP4 file using H.264 (AVC). Any ideas???
