These were all in the previously released update that rolled out for the Logitech Revue last week. Nothing new.

    Speculation

With the now confirmed production stoppage of Google TV's Logitech Revue that could involve more than software (see Rockchip Releasing New Platform to Support Tablets and Google TV) are my comments back on December 20th, now possible?

    • Who knows, however it now appears to me that if ONLY software in involved in these future updated GTV boxes, why stop production?

    • Is the latest promotion of lower price an effort to move outdated hardware?

    • Could there be an exchange in the future, to owners of the present Logitech Revue ?

    • Is this the reason why Google has asked Toshiba, LG and Sharp not to show off their versions of the Web/TV platform at the Consumer Electronics Show next month?

I suggest all members follow these developments closely and as always you will see the answers to these questions here first!

If they rehash harware before the software works I will be seriously pissed!! I have a Sony TV...so there is no simple exchange of product!

I was just commenting on the Logitech Revue forum about this exact set of points. I'm wondering if the H/W needs some changes, and if so I fully expect a $1:$1 exchange on my original Revue purchase price for the V2 hardware from Logitech.

I think that Google failed in doing a proper Beta, because in the last 60 days huge amounts of feedback have clearly molded the future releases of the GTV package.

I think that Google forgot who they were...Disney, TW, GE, Comcast, etc. all Fortune 100 companies in 2010, while Google is in the TOP 125, they don't have the weight they think they have to push the Broadcast companies around to force content etc.

I have high hopes for the future of GTV, I' not selling for giving back my L. Revue, and I continue to use it every day.
