Is there a way to get the media player to refresh?

When I drill down to folders/video the media player does not pick up new folders that I have added on my Win7 PC... I have a Logitech Revue on another TV which works like a charm, and is much faster than my Sony 46"

So is there a way to refresh the Sony googletv media player to pick up new folders?

While navigating through the folders you can press GTV Menu > Update Server List

if you are using the windows media player to stream from your pc... then you need to clear the cache/history on the windows media player to get the media player on google tv to refresh.. i had same problem...

Use TVersity Media Player instead of Windows Media player... it automatically refreshes itself...

I'm really not liking the Sony google tv media player. My revue and iPad have no problems with windows media player or vuze media player, but the sony google tv media plays hangs, won't show all the content, and has problems refreshing.Hopefully they will update soon!

Not only does it not show new files, it still shows folders/files that have been deleted. It lets my try to play a movie but errors with Corrupted or Unsupported file.

That's typically because the DLNA server is still caching old information. Use the DLNA server software on your computer to reindex or scan the shared directories for changes.

You should try the aVia media player. It works great on GoogleTV!! It will update the folders/content available and allows the user to force an update by providing a refresh button.

I'm also having this same issue. Currently, the media player is showing me a library that is now outdated. I've even removed the entire library, and started from scratch. I'm only using the library and sharing system in Windows 7. Any suggestions as to how to force the media player to update?
