You might want to switch your labels, Audio and Video. Also, I take it it won't play mpg2 in a vob container?

Odd.. none of my .mkv files will play, although they play fine with a PC or a Popcorn hour. This is not correct.

Since I can encode in any format, what would be the 'best' for the Revue?

MKV = container file, so this isnt the format itself -- rather a container for the formatting -- so your audio/video may be encoded in a non friendly format ;)

Hi, please I would like to know if the revue supports external subtitles (.srt files) with video files when it plays from an usb pendrive?

i would say unlikely since that is a proprietary format from what i know and not a container file.

.m4v works great for me. Although to get it to work I had to re-format my external HD to FAT32.

Be nice if we could get silverlight support to be able to stream more smoothly from windows based computers and servers.

No because the official build isn't available to Logitech Revue users yet.

I will chime in. I spoke to a friend who works at Google last night at a party. He said that even though Google TV may support a format, the Logitech Media Player is the gating factor and at least in 1.0, this has really sucked.

I'm sure we've all seen this link, but for anyone reading it who hasn't, this is the official Honeycomb/TV 2.0 format support. It's satisfyingly complete, but it remains to be seen how well the Logitech player does.

I read this somewhere else also but the nice thing about Honeycomb is developers will be providing apps. I'd pay as much as 40 to 50 bucks for an app that would stream smoothly from my WHS 2011 without the clunkiness of DLNA. Something easy enough for the old lady to use. With the ability to DL apps from the market the possibilities become huge. In fact if I find a need to I'd root my Revue and sideload a good streming app that plays nice with WHS 2011.

I'll be checking out Plex once my update is offered. The Tablet version of it is divine!

I second the Plex tryout once I get my GTV2.0. I used it on Roku's in the house, worked well once it was configured OK :)

Eferz,I asked a few of the techs not long ago about all this mess..he said "we're in the same boat you are,we have logitech google tv too"...makes me wonder though if the techs already have the update? if they do,what a bummer!!

from what I read a few day ago..I received two emails one from logitech, the other from google tv..did anyone get these, confirming that Honeycomb is on the way?

I'm sure they probably had access to the update long before we did. But, it is also good to know that they're being rolled out now. According to the Logitech's forums, "Re: Official 3.1 Update Feedback Thread - Logitech Forums", everyone whom currently has a Revue should have it updated by Monday. It will then be available "free-for-all" from that point on for all the new purchases and gift receivers.
