ok am I missing something ? yes !!!

My Google Tv looks the same as it always did. Nothing new here. :(

Do I have to do something to get the update or is it just not rolled out for Logitech as of today ?

Thx. I'm getting envious of all of you who have new toys.

Kinda like one of my favorite lines from the movie: "The Money Pit" . When Tom Hanks asks the Foreman: "When will the house be completed? " Foreman replies: Two Weeks! Tom says: "Two weeks, that's amazing!" Foreman mutters: "It would be a freaking miracle!"

GTV Director states Revue owners will get the update in a couple of weeks

Not googles fault logitech can't get it working but Sony did. Logitech engineers dropped the ball on this.

Really? People actually care that the update is going to take a couple of weeks? My only Google TV device is the Revue, I acknowledged months ago that Sony would be first with the update based on my prior experience with these companies and if the wait is only 2 weeks, I am delighted.

were did you get two weeks? Even google stated that they do not know when the update will happen on the review. couple of weeks does not mean two weeks. In geek talk it means three weeks to whenever. Yes the review will get the update and my guess is that it will be in 2012,

    Thanks for posting that link.

I found the following comment from that article very interesting:

"Has the problem with Shockwave Flash crashing been solved?

It's an issue with the Flash running on certain sites being designed around PC hardware causing a crash due to Google TV devices not having enough memory. Not fixed, but working with web developers to alleviate the issues."

    ---------------------------------------------------------

So what this tells me is that according to Google the "Shockwave crash" problem is NOT something that they (Google) can fix with one of their software updates. To alleviate this problem completely we will need to wait until the next generation of hardware comes out. Although it was mentioned that web developers can improve the situation by how they design web pages.

So SOME web sites that want to be Google TV friendly will likely make an effort to improve the design of their sites (so they don't cause the Shockwave crash problem) - however at this juncture there are probably many web sites that hardly know about GTV - along with some that just aren't interested in designing their sites to be 'Google TV friendly'.

This Shockwave crash issue is very annoying - and this was the top thing on my list that I had hoped the Honeycomb update would of fixed. Oh well.

I experience the crash on my linux desktop with 16 GB of RAM so it isn't an issue specific to GTV. I also have the crash with Firefox and Chrome so it isn't limited to Chrome.
