Well, well, what do we have here? These Logitech Revue boxes just hit the sales floor of a major electronics retailer, prominently sporting "New & Improved: Google Tv with Android 3.1 and Android Market" stickers. Logitech also released its quarterly earnings overnight, claiming $7.9 million in sales from the Revue and accessories since dumping its CEO and slashing price to $99. These haven't been cracked open yet to see if any Honeycomb leaks out, so it's possible they're just waiting for the long-delayed OTA update like all the others. Still, if you're trying to get a jump on the second major Google TV push without any hack, it could be worth scouting store shelves in your area.

    A comment on that site:
    Per a Logitech Support Specialist...

These boxes are just the regular boxes you have now and DO NOT have the 3.1 android update on them. These boxes are not suppose to be released onto store floors until the update is officially released for everyone. If a store is selling these boxes (it is just an added sticker on the box. Nothing else is different) they have released these boxes prematurely.

this may be the reason the amazon supply dried up.. they are having a new market push.. but still at 99 bucks? dang.. seems like the 8th is going to be important..
and then.. these flood the market.. perhaps with a new ad campg.. sure with i could get one of um neat stickers for my plain old revue box..

Some people that get the beta version recently say GTV still has a lot of bugs. (yeah it can download apps but it still is unstable from what I've heard).

This whole hoopla about the release coming on November 8th is based on 1 guy writing a speculative article (with his guess) - that Google would release the update on November 8th.

Then all the other media cronies jumped on it and copied the same story. The November 8th date certainly isn't set in stone and hasn't 'officially' been confirmed by anyone at Google. At this juncture it's just a rumor.....

Wonder how long before someone buys one of these boxes, opens and hooks the Revue up and finds that its not 3.1. Then they sue the store
and Logitech. Can just see it coming.

I've seen several sites selling bundle packages with the webcam this past week for $198...no mention of the new OS on them though.

Probably never - pretty sure the sticker says "Coming soon"

Then again, if someone can spill hot coffee on their crotch and sue McDonalds, anything is possible.
