    Hello,

I am interested in buying a Logitech Revue for my son to use in his college dorm room. He says he has a wired etnernet port and also an encrypted WIFI network within the dorm. Can he either jack into the Logitech Revue with the RJ45 cable or connect to the WIFI network without the use of a cable box for TV. What I am reading is that people use there cable box to plug into the Logitech Revue. But I am also seeing threads about bypassing the cable box and either using the cable modem or a WIFI network for the Logitech Revue to access TV stations and online video content. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Peter

The only reason to use the Revue with a cable box, is so that you will also have access to the cable shows... Without a cable box, you can still stream from the web, but the number of websites that actually allow GTV access is limited (Hulu, etc, block GTV). You can access Netflix, and Amazon VOD, if you wasn't paid content, our sites like Crackle, for free content...
