Issues with Plex app on my Co-Star

    So i am having some issues with the plex app. If i install the latest version of plex on my Costar, it will force close as soon as it connects to my plex server on my desktop. If i turn the network connection off it will not close. It seems to be as soon as it talks to my Desktop server it has a problem. I disabled most of the settings and it still didn't work. I uninstalled the app and i installed an older versions of the app. I had the same problem until i went back to version 2.1.1.3. That version works perfectly. Any reason the new app isn't working for me? Also am I missing out on any new features that the new version has?

    HMMM, I am getting force closes on mine too, but then when I reload it works, thought plex pass would fix it but it did not. What server are you running? Might make sure its upated, and try clearing the data from plex before uninstalling then install the latest version, that might make a difference as well. And its def not a "costar" thing it happens on my LG GTV also.

    Im running Plex Media Server 0.9.7.22. It says that it is up to date. Maybenot a costar issue but a google tv issue? Works fine with the older plex app installed its just any new versions of the app fail when it connects.

    The Plex version 0.9.7.22 is sweet, no probems either ....

    Which version of the app are you using on the Co-Star?

    Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. That resolved my constant force close errors. Also, are you using the plexpass app? That one has been pretty solid for me, compared to the regular plex app.

    I have uninstalled and re installed many times with out any success. no i am not a plexpass member so i don't use plexpass.

    Have you tried using Serenity (a Plex client) instead of the official Plex app? You can download Serenity for free

    Serenity for Android is also available in the Google Play store as well. The free version can be downloaded from the project web site. Advantage to the playstore version is that you get automatic updates from the play store. You have to update manually if you download it yourself when a new version is released.

    I am trying to use the most recent Plex for Google TV for my first time and the video plays but there is no sound.

    If I boot up my PS3 and watch the same video via my PS3 and Plex, video and sound are both present.

    Why is there no sound on the Plex for Google TV?

    I'm using 0.9.7.22 and it works fine. Have you checked the Plex forum to see if there is a answer to your problem?

    I saw something on the forums here and had to install Go Launcher HD and go into settings and then into Plex and uncheck AC3 and it seems that this fixed it so far.
