Is there any way to customize the App Bar at the Bottom?

I have the Sony NSX-40GT1 with the Google TV Remote

I press the home button, and it pulls up that bar at the bottom that has: "All Apps", then "TV", "TV and Movies", 'Netflix", "YouTube", "Android Market", "google Chrome", "Search"

I want to add the "Settings" App to the bottom bar so that I can easily pull it up. I don't want to have to push, "All Apps" then find 'Settings'.

So is there a way to customize that?

D pad to the icon you want to change, press and hold, and you get a menu. Select 'Replace', then choose the app.

I removed one item in the bar. Now how do I get a new one in there from a list of installed apps ?

Open the Home Menu bar, then press The Menu key and select 'Customize Home Items'

Greetings, I noted that you found at least one (maybe better) alternative to what you were initially trying to accomplish. Another way that may suit you is to press "Fn + 1" keys. That is the little blue "Fn" (function) key and the "1" key on the remote. That will in fact take you directly to the settings window. Hope that helps.

Thanks, some stuff is too obvious. I got stuck on assuming a long press would pop up a menu..

It took me a while to get used to the popup menu key.
