I recently bought a panny plasma. I made several mistakes hooking it up to my cable and surround sound system. One time I hooked it up, I was able to listen to sound when the TV was turned off. I am not sure how I did it, but I'd like that option again, esp since I have the revue. I'd like to be able to listen to audio from revue and/or cable with the TV turned off. Is that possible? Some of the stuff I'd like to only listen to as I understand plasmas (and most tech nowadays) have a limited shelf life when powered. I have an optical switch and of course using HDMI for revue. Is this possible?

Sure just connect your system in the recommended configuration and you can turn off your TV after you set your audio program into effect.

    STB > Revue > AVR > TV

Heh..duh. As it turned out I had it set up correctly. I had to turn the optical switch to the appropriate channel. Thx
