Is there a "safe" way to disconnect a USB hard drive from a logitech Revue?

Can't find any option to "eject" drive. Is is safe to assume that since the logitech rarely writes to the drive ( only evidence I see is an Android folder), that the drive does not require a procedure similar to disconnecting a drive from a PC?

The way I ejected mine was to turn off the Google Tv and unplug the drive and that usally worked for me.

Other than unplugging it, I didn't think there was a way to turn off the Logitech Revue. Am i missing something there as well? Thanks for the reply.

Having it connected to a power strip or AVR switchable AC output with on/off switch is the only option I am aware of which is exactly the same as unplugging it as far as the Revue knows.

So you have to turn off the GTV in order to remove the USB drive? Does the same apply when inserting the drive? I inserted a USB drive without rebooting and GTV froze a few times then rebooted itself. If you have to turn off GTV to insert or remove USB device then that is pretty lame as one of the supposed benefits of USB is that the OS is supposed to read from it on the fly. I hope HC update fixes this as I'd like to use GTV to watch movies from USB.

Guys, I think you are over thinking this. The only way I am aware of to corrupt a USB drive is to unplug it while the CPU is either actively writing to it or has not yet written cached data. Since the Revue does not write to the drive, I see no issue with plugging or unplugging it at will.

I tried that and the problem didn't go away until 19 years later.
