I am testing progressive streaming feature for GTVBox and tryed to use IceStream app. But it seems not work any more (just does not connect). Also I can not find it in Market. Is it still functional?

Hm... Now it works. I suppose icefilms was down.
It now works in GTVBox... with bugs.
I wonder is it possible to resume download from those file sharings if it fails (without waiting 40secs again).

GTVBox v.0.4 is out! It now has some support for the IceStream app.
There is a huge limitation: you can not resume the movie if something fails. It is due to the nature of Megaupload. However, I was able to watch 2 episodes of Family Guy (720p) without any issues. :)
Notice! When you launch GTVBox from the IceStream app, you will see a menu. SELECT THE SECOND OPTION "Live Stream".

Maybe the ease with which you were making it work on Google TV was ticking the Feds off. Rupert Murdoch is going to catch wind of you next. ;)

Wow that's big news about Megaupload getting shut down even before SOPA. IMO next to be shut down will be sites such as Putlocker and Videobb.

perhaps now would be a good time to focus on streaming from different cloud storage options . like the pogo plug approach , or perhaps streaming from shared collaboration file hosting sites ??

Now that filesonic is going down like megaupload we might see more of cloud storage linksharing of restricted mats, have used gtvbox
To stream byway of pogoplug cloud storage without a hiccup. I can see a future in public link sharing as well as filefolder collaboration coming
About like P2P did for sharing files. Focusing on cloud streaming makes alot of sense at this time. Gonna try some group file sharing
And streaming with friends of on different free clouds to see if group sharing is viable. Appreciate other's input.

If it's for legal stuff I'd be for it. But what do you mean by "restricted" materials?

Apparently, he doesn't realize that Peer 2 Peer (P2P) sharing of copy righted material is still illegal. Regardless of how "private" your groups are.

Looks like IceFilms site is moving to another filesharings (like Rapidshare). But IceStream app seems do not support those yet.
