I can tell you as a real GTV beta tester and future developer, that you won't see Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich until much later. Google is ironing out the bugs that even the leak of Honeycomb has. And there are plenty even in the developer betas I've seen and used.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if Google plans to make ice cream sandwich available (eventually) on our current hardware - or will that likely only come with the next generation of hardware?

You may have already read that ICS was released by Samsung/Google today. Nice to see things moving along even if we have no way
of knowing if it may impact Google Tv

Google TV 2.0 update is Honeycomb based – Andy Rubin
    [IMG]

Those of you were wondering whether the upcoming Google TV 2.0 update will be Honeycomb based or Ice Cream Sandwich based. Well, Google Mobile SVP Andy Rubin has stated at the AsiaD conference today that it will indeed be based on Honeycomb.

To remind you about this update, Google is expected to announce it on November 8 at Streaming Media West 2011 and will bring Market support, and UI changes among others.

Thanks for the update Rick, was trying to figure that one out for quite some time :)

Will the current mkv file format issues with the media player (of Logitech Revue) finally get resolved in the official 'stable' HC release?
