I'm hoping the community here can help.

My department purchased 5 Sony Google TVs with the idea that they could mount the TVs on a wall in common-use areas around our building to display information. Our previous system involved hiding a computer in a Comm room dedicated to just playing power point slides. Well, we're running in to some issues. The only way we could stream the content, that we have found, is by using a DLNA server to host the media. The hosting location is from a Windows Server 2008 R2 box. However, if the content is changed on the DLNA server, the Google TVs stop playing the file because it was moved or renamed. My questions:

    • Is there any way to automate the Google TV (via script or whatever) to play media automatically?
    • Is there an easier way to push media? I was hoping to just map an SMB drive...
    • Can the Google TV play .ppt files on a loop elegantly, yet?
    Thanks!
