    hi together,

I've a Sony NSZ-GS7 and many videos shared in network.
These Videos are stored in various codecs. xvid, divx, h.264, ....
Is there any app or solution to play alle this codecs on my google tv?
I tried all apps, I could find but all time, only a few non hd videos could played.
I also tried to run a streaming server on my pc, I got the same result.

At the moment, the videos are shared from my pc, but I plan to built up a NAS.

    sorry for my bad english.

    Thanks

    Eardy

Did you try ViMu or Plex?

I tried ViMu, it only plays a view ld vidos, but no hd videos.
plex requiers a special media server but i want play videos from NAS, in future.

    EDIT:

I foud a view playing hd videos. The differences are the used audio codecs, AC3 is working DTS not.

    EDIT2:
the new problem is, the movies are lagging. everey few secons the movie is stopping for a few secons. then it runs for a few secons again, without lagging until it stops again.
    I don't use wlan, I'm using 100 M/bits ethernet.

is the sony tv box to weak for hd streaming?

i stream hd over wireless, so it can handle it if you are using a good mp4/mkv file.
Steps i would try. Set the ip to a static ip. recode your videos to h.264. do not use dts or set it to pass through. try plex.

Is your nsz setup with a static ip?

Are you streaming the movies when they skip? If so if using Plex, force it to play directly.
Also try power cycling your router.

Is there any way to play things on my laptop into my big TV screen after I connect the TV to the router? Since it's part of my network now

The Plex media Server is a FREE application for your computer. I use PLEX to stream from my NAS and from a 2TB hard drive in the computer-- over my wireless network. No stopping to buffer-- plays perfectly over the LAN. However this is NOT the case over a WAN where the stream comes over the internet. I can download the movies and watch them-- but streaming from my NAS over the internet is not satisfactory.
