I have the 40" Sony Google TV with the latest update.

When I pull a usb flash drive from the TV, I get a little toast saying "USB storage unexpectedly removed".

I've looked everywhere I can think of to figure out how to properly remove the drive--there's no "storage" section of the settings like on a mobile android device (where I would expect such an option), and no Google search I've tried has any relevant results.

I even tried a live chat with Sony support, but they didn't know how to do it, either.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks

I've searched all over the Logitech Revue to see if it has an eject feature (sometimes there are hidden "menu" settings and such). I haven't been able to find any. I don't even get that error regardless of the media player accessing the USB device or not (I do get a media not available skipping to next track error)

Just purchased my 40" Sony yesterday: Eject/Unmount USB flash drive >>>-------> Home, then select white/orange icon next to the Time display on the bottom left of the screen, and unmount the device!

To un-mount a USB flash drive, press home -> menu -> select the open apps (it is in-between time and all apps icon) -> select synced USB....
    or
To UNMOUNT a USB flash drive, home, go to all apps, settings, storage and un-mount it.

Don't see this as a big machine or a computer:confused:, this is just a sophisticated big screen mobile phone:cool:.
    :rolleyes:owner of NSX40GT1.

An easier way to unmount USB drive on Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) update is to press GTV Menu > Notifications > Synced USB storage: Select this to unmount this USB storage device.
