I am having difficulty controlling my devices with the Co Star remote. Currently my Cable Box (time warner cable) and co star are hidden, located in a closet. Before getting the co star I controlled the cable box using a IR reciever that transmitted to a radio signal which sent to the reciever then transmitted the IR signal to the box. Now that the co star is in the equation there is some lag with the IR reciever picking up the commands from the remote therefore all number inputs for the channels are not picked up. My question is are there better set ups out there? Like bluetooth to IR signal that I can pair the co star remote with? Also to turn the co star on I have to walk over to the closet and point the remote at the box as bluetooth doesn't work. Just seems like the co star and everything connect wasn't designed to be hidden. (I like a clean look)
