Sony recently released their newest Google TV player, the NSZ-GS7 and I'm getting one but I need a question solved before.

Any of you forumers tried watching hi10p .mkv files on the GTV? Does it works perfectly? Any audio or video problems? It can be any type of GTV, Logitech Revue, the other Sony player, etc.

I already Googled it and couldn't find any answers, so I'll rely on you guys.

Is there anywhere to download a sample of this type of file to test it?

1st gen Google TV (both Sony and Logitech) do NOT support 10 bit video. I'll test new Sony player as soon as I get it.

Don't think it will work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the new Sony probably will fail hi10p playback as it uses the same software from the first gen GTVs.

Almost every up-to-date torrent is in hi10p at nyaa torrents. If you can't resort to that downloading method, try Googling it.

    Well.. You are wrong.
The underlying media engines are different on Intel, Marvell and LG units, because the hardware is different.
So, it MAY support something that does not work on the 1st gen.

Hopefully, because 10bit is really under the radar but it has quite a remarkable usage for anime videos. That will be the primary reason why I'll purchase a GTV.
