first (copy from another list on this forum)post - so, i have a Sony NSX40-GT1 that works great, no real problems or nothing. Today, had a bit of a rain shower and i guess the power flickered in the house. The TV was on and working this afternoon, but now, the TV won't turn on. I get the green (power) and amber (timer) lights flashing together in unison and neither the power button on the TV nor the remote does anything.

    Here's what i have done:
    • unplugged the TV and let it sit for 10 minutes - plugged back in - still getting the blinking lights
    • tried holding the power button on the tv down for a couple of seconds - now this is where things get funky. So after holding down the button the lights will stop blinking but they will stay on constantly, and then both turn off after about 30 seconds. while the lights are off, neither the power button on the TV nor on the remote work - but both do make the lights blink in unison again for each button push
Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you, matt

Try re-setting your tv (Cntrl-Alt-Bkspc) after that, I'm stumped. Good Luck!

So just hit those keys simultaneously from the remote?

Are you able to pull up your on-screen menu by simultaneously pushing FN + 1 ? If so then you could go through your settings menus to do a full factory reset.

If not then perhaps some of the suggestions in this Sony video will help you. The video is about the Bravia TV having power issues and not turning on, lights blinking etc. So even though this is not a GTV video per se - I still think some of the suggestions might be useful:
