I am looking for some help with my Sony Blue Ray/Google TV if someone can... I'm pretty tech savy but I cannot figure out what my options are for adding my Yamaha AV Receiver (non-HD capable) to be paired with the Google TV unit through the IR Blaster. I have tried all the codes listed for Yamaha but none of them seem to work. Does anyone know if there's a way to manually enter other codes, or if there's an update I can download to the operating system? It's not that old of a receiver so it should be workable.

    Thanks,
    Evan

Hello Evan, and first off, welcome to our forum...
Another thing I am not sure on, is, what model Sony do you own??
The GTV all in one, or the blue ray disc player box??
It would be helpful if you would include in your sig. what model you have, so as to help you would be not only quicker,
but, also the right info. as well.
You can try doing a little reading here at this link...

If you need any more help, please don't hesitate to ask.

I have the Sony Blue Ray box with Google TV combo (NSZGT1). Separately I have a Vizio HDTV, Comcast cable box.... and the Yamaha receiver that I am trying to bring into syncing with the Sony Google tV remote control through the IR Blaster (using the code)

Just can't find additional codes to try with my receiver that's all.

it seems to work with my yamaha rx-v1500 (no HDMI but has composite). unfortunately, it can't seem to cycle through the inputs on the receiver. only changes it to DVD and gets stuck there. not that big a deal for me...

Does not control volume on my SONY STR-DE845 A/V receiver from 2000. Disappointing, but I know 11 years time in CE devices is an eternity.

I truly hope we're going to see more progress with these units in the next couple of months because they'll have been on the market for six months then and it's about time we start to see the full potential of these devices.
