    Ahoy hoy everyone :D

I was a fan of Google TV before, but after installing the beta update, OMG it's so much BETTER! Here's the top 5 reasons it's improved so much:

    1. The "TV & Movies" app is amazing, and I love how they set it up. It's like netflix, but using shows in your linup.
    2. The google music app! I stream all of my music stored in the cloud to my Google TV now.
    3. Social apps. Being able to peruse and post via Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ is great.
    4. Notifications. Getting notifications for social apps, news, etc..
    5. possibility. The potential for growth and usability for GTV grows more and more each day. Every time someone comes out with a compatible app, it grows more.

I was gonna type more, but my GTV recommended a movie to me and i'm engrossed in it now...

I read that the GMail app doesn't work in the 3.1 beta build (it just forces closed). However I was wondering if email can still be sent by going to gmail.com with the chrome browser? Since the Revue is my only internet device - if Gmail isn't functional when the official 3.1 release comes out - that would be a real deal breaker for me. The Revue might be better in some ways with the new 3.1 beta - but IMO it will be severely crippled without Netflix and Gmail functionality. Hopefully these items will be functional in the official 3.1 release.

There are a few Google apps that don't work, but the browser function is still there and works great. I'm not quite sure why people want the apps when the browser is more functional? Each to his own, I guess...

You can get just about anything from using the browser, than just receiving apps... Of course when all is said and done that is. 3.1 or more... [IMG]

While Chrome is much snappier popping through apps is so much better.
Example My Cast Weather put the radar on my screen in less the a second. while trying to go to wunderground takes a while.

This runs way faster than my Droid X on Liberty .09 overclocked to 1.35mhz honestly Honeycomb on Revue put it to shame.
Android like iOS was designed to run apps and the Revue does it better than any Android Device I have tried. Using the internet versions of things is fine and does come with more options but apps streamline the process and make it more enjoyable.

it's definitely faster. The whole experience is nice and smooth. I can't wait to try a game or two to see how well the revue handles it.

I'd consider a week from now soon. Almost two months from now...not so much, especially since this has been on the market for almost 10 months.
