I just purchased a 40 inch tv for my room. It's a great tv but no matter where I place, I can't seem to sit far enough. Is there a way to reduce the viewing screen size? Please help. Thanks!

There is no reason to cross-post your in the different subsection of this forum. It is a small forum and there's not that much traffic. It is redundant and necessary.

I've already answered your question in the following thread, "http://www.googletvforum.org/forum/...-inch-its-great-but-too-big-me.html#post21274"

How far are you sitting from the 40" display? I have a 42" display in the bedroom and could go a little larger and still not be too big, we are 7' - 8' from the display. This Wikipedia article discusses optimum viewing distances.

Of course personal preference plays into the distance as much as anything but I believe given some time, unless you are closer than 6' from the screen, I don't think you will ultimately decide the 40" screen is too big.
