I am currently using optical out to my av receiver with my Google TV. I do not have issues with Netflix or YouTube, I even have surround sound. However, with Google Music I am not receiving any sound.

Any help or settings I might could change would be great thanks!

Just tried playing just through the TV speakers and had no issue. For some reason Google Music does not want to output sound through my optical out

did you try changing the audio setting for the optical port? go in to picture and sound then to sound settings (somewhere in the audio setting menu) and you should find a setting that will allow you to change the format of audio that the optical port outputs. if im not mistaken the options are something like (dolby Digital, Mixed Dolby Digital, Auto)....im not sure is PCM is an option. basically one of those setting might fix your issue.

Here's a workaround - activate Picture In Picture within Google Music and the sound should play via your AV receiver.
So, basically click the PIP button on the remote.
