If it is possible to connect by ethernet to try to determine if your Wi-Fi card is bad, do that, or if you have an ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter, try that. There is no universal problem with Sony GT1 Google TV models that would prevent connection to the internet. If either ethernet connection attempt can't be made, try clearing RAM and cache and resetting your Google TV.

Were you previously using the device with a wi-fi connection, then it stopped working? Or were you using a wired connection, then switched to wi-fi and couldn't connect? Have you verified your wi-fi credentials? How about a factory reset, maybe that'll fix the problem.

Edit: Ignore the factory reset suggestion, you've done that.
