I have to hit function before i can change the volume with those perfectly placed buttons? Please tell me I'm missing something. What's the point of putting those buttons on the side if I have to search and find the function key in order to change the volume. There has to be some setting I don't see to turn that off.

Hmmm ... My volume up and down on the side of the remote works perfectly to control the TV. Are you controlling a receiver with it? Maybe that's what the function is for?

If anyone comes across this could you please pass it along. I've been searching and googling and no luck so far :(

EDIT: if anyone has an issue with this go into settings > tv and avr and switch volume control settings to audio system (assuming you're using a receiver)
