Since the 3.2 update I have been having trouble with the Flash player on my Logitech Revue, but only when watching TVfull.com. In TVfull.com the flash player has minimal controls in the Chrome way, with a thin time line across the bottom of the screen that is red for what has played, white for what has not played, pink for what is loaded but not played yet. If, say, you wanted to skip to the middle of a show, you click on the middle of this timeline and the show starts playing from there. After 3.2, the timeline is all pink to the end of the show, and red up to the current progress marker. If you click anywhere with the pink to skip ahead, the Flash player crashes. Also, if you watch any show long enough, the Flash player crashes.

As you can imagine, this is very annoying. I did a factory reset and it didn't fix this problem at all. I think the reset was helpful in making everything work faster, so it was not a total loss.

Is there anything I can do to fix the Flash problems with TVFull.com or is the problem on their side? Thanks for any info or ideas.

It may sound like it's from TVFull.com side. Well, you've already done Factory-reset that from my experience (FR after a major update) improved the overall of system performance & avoiding system odd behavior.

Check out this link (Avoid/reduce Error: "shockwave Flash Crash!"...) & See if that help in minimizing the issue?

    Good luck

    update: I didn't try TVFull.com. So, see the post below @ ChrisG8.

I tried TVFull.com with a Revue and had the same problem although this isn't the typical Flash crash, the player just aborts when you try to use the time slider to advance or go back, no crash message for me. This site worked fine prior to the update so it appears it is a Revue problem rather than TVFull.com site problem. When I get a chance I will try it with my Sony NSZ-GT1 to see if it can play videos properly. I only loaded an episode of Everwood for my test didn't do anything else and I can't say for certain TVFull.com didn't change something, maybe deliberately making the free shows play without trick play features. If the pay shows don't work properly either, that would rule out that possibility.

All the shows I tried to watch on TVFull.com were the paid ones, not the free ones. I can watch the same episodes using Chrome on my Windows 7 laptop and the time slider works just fine. I also think there is go to black screen Flash player abort when you get to very end of any episode, although you only lose a few seconds of the end of the show. As you noted, the abort is go to black screen, no error message.

I also set the Flash Player parameters to unlimited and the other tricks published here to stop it from crashing. It had no effect. I think the solid pink loading line that appears instantly when you start viewing an episode on the Revue is indicative of the problem. It works normally on Windows 7, for example.

Is my Revue junk now? It was a good run for $99 since last August, but it is a shame the Flash player no longer works for the TVFull site, which was one of my favorite sites.

What would be a replacement for the Revue that would allow me to view TVFull.com? I realize a laptop will work, but it would be nice if it were more of a TV oriented device with HDMI Out. Love the Revue wireless keyboard, if there were something similar in an alternative, that would be great, but I am open to any ideas.

Thanks for your input. I'm stuck on the 3.1 update - Logitech support says my Revue won't accept the 3.2 update - so they offered to send me a replacement Revue. Currently everything is working good with my Revue on 3.1 - so I'm still debating what to do next.

I asked Logitech support why my Revue won't update - they couldn't really give a specific answer - they just mentioned that this "occurs" on some of the Revues. I bought my Revue new for $249 17 months ago.

One alternative of course is a laptop with HDMI output using a Logitech K700 Revue keyboard, not a very good one since that is expensive but the keyboard was only $28 when I recently ordered one from an eBay seller. I don't know if there is any customer support available from TVFull.com, maybe contact them to see what they say about the issue.

I guess we really don't know yet if having a Revue locked at 3.1 is a good thing or bad thing, as far as TVFull.com, it is a good thing apparently but for the most part, 3.2 appears to me to be an upgrade. Since your Revue accepted upgrades up to 3.1, this is a really weird problem to me but I am not a technical person and a logical explanation could possibly be offered from someone that is. I also don't know if the next upgrade, if there is one, would be accepted.

Well I've tried to download the 3.2 update (by going to "Google Services Framework" in settings and clearing all data) - over a dozen times and each time one of two things occurs:

    1) The Blue line goes slowly across the screen indicating it is downloading (this in the "About" then "System Update" window from settings). Then when it starts to "Validate" I get a message that "download failed".

    OR

    2) It will make it past the "validate" stage and reboot to install the update - but then after about 10 seconds of attempting to install the update the screen goes black with a white triangle and exclamation point inside the triangle. This stays on the screen for a few minutes and then my Revue reboots. After the reboot I'm still on the 3.1 update and I get a pop-up window that says "update failed".

Does anybody have any suggestions that might make the update work?

Try taking the device to someone elses house that has wifi and see if you can update it there - If it updates elsewhere , then your isp may be blocking your updates. At least if it does not update at a friends house then maybe it is your device.

Wow, that is pretty amazing. I guess that means that Chrome's version of Adobe flash has some incompatibility with the way TVFull uses the Flash Player in the Android environment. It still works fine using Chrome on Windows 7. I think Windows Chrome still uses its own Adobe flash plugin, just like Android Chrome, but there must be some difference.

The TVFull.com site is looking pretty dead/broken, with a lot of broken image links and very little new programming in the last couple of days. This is not normal for them. Let's hope they are working to fix the problems. I tried as best I could to send a couple of messages explaining the problem a few days ago. So far no replies

I tried default and generic user agent with the Revue and that didn't work but I didn't try generic user agent with the Sony NSZ-GT1, no matter it sounds lke TVFull.com is soon to be dead to everybody.

    Hello all,

Could you please try doing the following and see if the issue is solved?

    1. Open Google Chrome
    2. Click Options on your keyboard (the key located between Alt and Ctrl).
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Advanced settings.
    5. Select Under the Hood.
    6. Click on Content Settings...
    7. Under Plug-ins select Disable individual plug-ins...
    8. Look for "Default Plug-in" and click on Disable.

I also have been testing and after 3 days of HBO-GO so far no problems. However there were some crashes on the first application of the workaround. I guess if I had to make a statement it would be "seems better, but its awfully buggy"

Frankly I don't think that the Shockwave crashes are something that Logitech can fix on their own. Flash is unstable across different devices and platforms - this is something that Adobe needs to address with Google. Plus the Revue hardware has limitations. And the problem can be very web site specific at times.

I have found that clearing the cache from time to time helps. I haven't found that going to the Adobe Flash settings and making all kinds of "adjustments" to do anything much other than waste time. Of course there's also the "placebo effect" -:)

I tried the above and it had no effect on the tvfull.com generic flash player time slider control flash crashes/end of video flash crash problem. It is a deeper issue with Google TV Chrome/Android 3.2/Adobe Flash, but at least Logitech is looking into it. I have been thinking maybe it is time to just attach a non-Android HDMI out laptop/tablet to the HDTV or perhaps go the Roku/Boxee/Western Digital/Vudu route.

I totally agree but it was a new idea and very few come out of Logitech now days. I spoke with Google and they indicated they are working on it also with Adobe.

If Google, Sony and Logitech want to fix the TVFull.com Flash player issue, I think that will be a simple fix. The bigger problem, the more widespread Flash Player crashes are another matter and the steps outlined to minimize those are probably all we will ever have. I can say I rarely see the widespread problem but see it some with ESPN3.

I don't expect any company officially involved with Google TV to do anything specifically related to fixing the tvfull.com situation.

I have my doubts that it is a "legitimate" web site. For one thing it's hosted in the Ukraine. How could a company from the Ukraine offer premium USA TV shows for a fee when most of this stuff is not available/blocked on GTV in USA. And big companies like Google can't even get a hold of content like this.

For what it is worth, the tvfull.com flash problems are what I would classify as completely generic flash player issues. I think it is purely a technical problem that involves Flash/Google TV Chrome/Android 3.2. Any sort of interruption of the stream causes a flash crash. Time slider movement, pausing a video, even coming to the end of a video, all are interruptions of the stream. Once the stream is interrupted, flash crashes. In the case of slider movement or end of stream, it is immediate, but in the case of using the pause function, the crash occurs a few minutes later. Even the pink loading line issue is related to the control, because the line is displayed in the time slider control. The control is primed to crash from the moment it starts, all it needs is an interrupt. Other, less generic flash players seem to be better interfaced to Android and Chrome and they work better, but it all depends on how they handle interrupts. I think the problems we are seeing are technical in nature, widespread, and have absolutely nothing to do with who theoretically owns the content. TVFull is probably the best example of this problem because of the totally generic nature of its flash player.
