Am I the only one having this problem? Upadated to the new Google 2 and downloded the fireplace app and it jams up everytime I use it and I get an error message.

What's the syntax of the error message?

Been working all day and havent been able to respond but No, still aint
working right, seems to be hanging up, the error message I get is.....

    Sorry

Activity Classy Fireplace (in application Clasy Fireplace) is not responding

    Force Close/Wait/Report

After fiddling with it for a while though it seems to work if I choose the "classic fireplace classic"
scene and hangs up on any of the 1080p scenes. Must have something to do mith my lousy slow
Verizon DSL as after visiting the Android market and looking at the reviews I noticed this one....

Very classy -- requires a LOT of network bandwidth

The 1080p videos look stunning on my LED tv. Be aware that this app requires 5 to 6 megabits of continuous bandwidth to stream the videos. If your home Internet connection doesn't have that capacity, you will see pauses/stuttering.

After running a speed test I see I'm only getting 1.73Mbps download speed and 2.3Mbps upload speed, oh well!

It seems to be a problem with all of the 1080p scenes, and I have a 46" sony google tv, btw...

The fireplace classic (non-1080p) works fine, you just have to tell it to wait on all the error messages you get trying to get there.

But once you're showing SD video, it runs fine.

The app seems to just be pushing too much for the tv to handle, which is really a shame.

Don't forget to report feedback to the developer. It is possible something can be done to the app to make it more compatible.

I Think the fireplace app is not a much needed app anyway. Right?

It depends on the user. Some people enjoy the cheesy "warmth" that the app can bring into your home.
